The Viet Nam national middle-distance running team will leave for
Kunming, China late this month to train for the 28th Southeast Asian
Games in Singapore in June.
Women''s International Master Vo Thi Kim Phung won two gold medals at
the National Top Athletes Chess Tournament, which ended in the northern
province of Bac Giang over the weekend.
Vietnamese athletes with disabilities are expected to perform better at
the Asian Para-Games which kicks off in Incheon, South Korea beginning
October 18.
Dong Luc Group, the sportswear manufacturer, has provided 300 outfits to
Vietnamese athletes competing in the 27th Asian Games in Incheon, South
Korea, from September 19 to October 4.
The 27th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games closed
yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw, marking the end of a prestigious tournament
for which athletes spent two years in training.
Vietnamese athletes enjoyed a bumper harvest on the
final day of track and field competition, demonstrating power, speed
and grit to win five gold medals in Myanmar.
